How it works
Three steps. No account, no setup wizard.
Install the extension, open a page with a video or audio player, and control it β from the popup, the on-video controller, or your keyboard.
How it works
Install
Add SpeedPilot to Chrome or Edge β it does nothing until a page actually has media on it.
Open a video
Visit any site with standard HTML5 video or audio. SpeedPilot detects it automatically, including content loaded in later.
Control playback
Use the popup, the on-video controller, or keyboard shortcuts β whichever fits the moment.
Where it works β honestly.
Works with standard HTML5 video and audio players across the web β including same-origin embedded players used by many course and lecture platforms.
Some sites use custom, DRM-protected, cross-origin, or otherwise restricted players where browser extensions genuinely cannot control playback. That's a browser security boundary, not a bug we can patch around.
Live streams show a βLiveβ indicator instead of a remaining-time estimate β speed control still works wherever the stream's player allows it.
